Kucedr is an Electron desktop application for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Its profile defaults to ~/.kucedr and contains settings, conversation history, memory, skills, apps, generated media, and the local RAG index.
Desktop Behavior
The desktop shell provides native windows, tray and application menus, local file integration, microphone permissions, and sandboxed renderer processes. Sensitive actions are subject to the configured tool policies and approval flow.
Cloud Backup
Available. Cloud settings select a configured storage provider, local folders, schedule, backup, and restore. Restore requires confirmation, replaces matching files, and retains unrelated local files. Storage credentials are configured under Providers → Storage.
This is folder backup, not bidirectional device synchronization. Account sign-in is separate from provider-backed folder backup, and provider keys are not synchronized. Vector database settings belong to RAG rather than folder backup.
See Privacy And Security for a detailed account of local storage, external processing, permissions, and credentials.
