Kucedr keeps agent workspace files, conversation sessions, and durable memory in separate local stores under ~/.kucedr.
Workspace Files
| File | Purpose |
|---|---|
AGENTS.md | Context generated from the saved identity, soul, and user profiles. |
BOOTSTRAP.md | One-time setup for a fresh profile. |
IDENTITY.md | Assistant identity and presentation. |
SOUL.md | Personality and behavioral guidance. |
USER.md | Your profile and preferences. |
HEALTH.md | Checklist for periodic health runs. |
Profile files are created when their corresponding profile is saved. Once identity, soul, and user profiles all contain content, Kucedr generates AGENTS.md from them. Update those source profiles through their tools instead of editing the generated file.
Browse and edit the workspace
Open Settings → Workspace to browse agent files in a tree beside a resizable viewer. The context menu creates files and folders, renames entries, and confirms deletions. Markdown opens in editable Text and Raw views and saves automatically; other text and code are read-only. Images, audio, video, and PDFs have their own viewers. The Coding navigation item is marked Soon and its old route redirects to Workspace.
Durable memory
Memory uses its own ~/.kucedr/memory directory, including a consolidated MEMORY.md and conversation snapshots. In Settings → Memory, enable or disable processing and choose its provider, model, and type. The memory module processes saved chat and realtime voice conversations asynchronously. You can ask Kucedr to correct or forget a fact; the change takes effect after the saved conversation is processed.
Relevant memories can inform main chat and realtime voice. They are not supplied to channels, scheduled tasks, health checks, or subagents. Kucedr does not expose a model-callable save or forget memory tool. Folder retrieval configured in Knowledge and conversation history are separate from durable memory.
Sessions
Conversation sessions are stored locally, listed newest first, and titled from the first user message. Switching sessions restores the saved transcript. The session menu offers rename, clear, compact, open location, and delete; clearing, compacting, and deleting require confirmation. Chat History in Settings also provides per-session deletion. Deleting a session does not automatically erase the separate memory store.
See Privacy And Security for storage and credential boundaries.
